DAY 1: MARRAKECH - IMI OUGHLAD - TIZIANE

We at Morocco Epic Trails, we focus on small groups and personal experience with a team of experienced guides for your Atlas Mountains trekking experience. Embark on a captivating 5-day Atlas trek from Marrakech, commencing with a departure from your hotel to Imi Oughlad. Here, you'll be greeted by our skilled Berber muleteer crew, ready to accompany you on this unforgettable journey. We begin with a 2-hour acclimatization hike, following scenic switchback mule tracks amidst cornfields, pine, and juniper forests. Reach Tiz n'tachete at 2000m, where we pause to admire panoramic views of the Imlikl and Ait Oussaden valleys. Continuing for another half-hour, we arrive at Imi n'ifri for a delightful field picnic. Afterward, a gentle 2.5-hour hike leads us southwest down to Assif n'Ait Oussaden and the red clay terraced village of Tiziane (1750m). Enjoy a restful overnight stay in a camp or a local house.

DAY 2: TIZIANE - TIZI N'TAGHRHOURTE - D'KNT

Start the day with a hearty breakfast before embarking on an enriching hike along the Assif n'Ait Oussaden Valley, meandering through walnut groves, leading to Tizi n'taghrhourte (1995m). Afterward, we traverse a rare flat stretch, arriving at Assaka spring for a serene field picnic in the midst of awe-inspiring silence. The afternoon trek takes us along the forest edges to the Berber village of D'knt (1870m) or Agouns n Assoul, where we'll have dinner and spend the night in a camp or a guesthouse.

DAY 3: D'KNT - TIZI N'TAGDALTE - TIZI OUSSEM

Begin the morning with a 3-hour hike, passing walnut trees, corn and barley fields, and encountering local sheep and goatherders. Traverse the Tizi n'tagdalte pass, descending amidst juniper trees to a small spring surrounded by trees for a delightful picnic. After a refreshing break, we journey down winding tracks for approximately 3 hours, reaching a small river at the beginning of the Assif n'Ait Oussaden Valley. Continue to the village of Tizi Oussem (1850m) and ascend to the summer village of Tamsoult for a comfortable night stay in a camp or guesthouse.

DAY 4: TIZI OUSSEM - TIZI M'ZZIK - IMLIL

Today, trek to a small waterfall at Azib Tamsoulte before crossing the Tizi 'n Mzik pass (2,500m). From there, join the main Toubkal Valley at Imlil (1,800m), where you'll have lunch and spend the night in a guesthouse.

DAY 5: IMLIL - TIZI N TAMATERT - IKKISS - AGERSIOUAL - MARRAKECH

Embark on a 6 to 7-hour circular trek, leading you past Berber hamlets and two mountain passes, offering magnificent scenery and natural beauty. The trek begins by heading east from Imlil along the Tamatert Valley, then turns north through the Tizi n'Tamatert pass (2,300m). Trek back westward via the Tizi n'Aguerssiouâl pass (1,767m), passing the Assif n'Ait Mizane Valley, and finally heading south to the peaks of Jbel Toubkal, Aguelzim, and Aksouâl.
